FMCG industries consume large quantity of primary and secondary packing materials. It became imminent for EAG to set up a printing and packaging industry as an inevitable backward integration to meet the groups in those requirements.

 

Today 100% requirement of duplex board packing materials, corrugated boxes and flexible packaging for the group industries are supplied from Printing & Packaging unit, 50% of the installed capacity of the industry is marketed for outside clients.

In addition to the Duplex Board and corrugated packing materials, the group’s requirement of flexible packing materials is increasing every day. Currently these are imported from different countries.
Again, in order to improve cost efficiency, it is necessary to have an in-house facility to produce flexible packing materials.

A modern Rotogravure Printing Press Comprising of an 8 station printing press, a laminating machine and slitting and rewinding machine will be commissioned before the end of this year. The industry will have an installed capacity of 100 – 120 tons per month. 50% of this capacity can be marketed for outside clients.
